| Description
Automata’s Spread Spectrum base station provides a link
between wireless data received by radio frequency and the serial port of
a computer. It comes with an integral loop antenna adequate up to two
miles. Beyond 2 miles, an optional gain antenna is required. The radio
is mounted at the antenna to eliminate all antenna cable signal loss. A
4 Amp-hour battery back up is included. It will power the station for
one and a half days without power. A 30’ radio cable and 9 pin serial
port connector are also included. The battery chassis doubles as a
junction box. It has a screw terminal block for easy wire disconnect to
facilitate installation.
The radio is programmed with standard AT modem commands. It supports a
variety of point to point, and point to multipoint, networks. Radio
programming must be consistent with the rest of the network. |
