| Description
Field Controllers can be located remotely wherever they
are needed for controlling equipment and/or reading sensors in real-time
or data logging. Various types of communications (including infrared,
radio including license free spread spectrum, hard wire, phone, and
cellular phone) between Field Controllers and the base station computer
are supported. Systems as small as those containing one Field Controller
site, or as large as those with hundreds of sites, can economically be
implemented. A selection of base station software (including data
acquisition and control programs) is available for PC compatible
computers.
Each of the following models is cable of reading 8
analog (10 bit) sensors and 4 event sensors. A 12V
battery is included with each model.
- FC-WIRE is a real time hard-wired station.
Includes cable to computer.
- LOG-FC functions as a data logger. Includes cable
to computer and 128K memory.
- IR-FC communicates via infrared data
transmission.
- RF-FC communicates via radio. Includes Model
VHF-OMNI-3, narrow band or spread
spectrum antenna.
- PH-FC communicates via phone. Includes phone
modem and 128K memory.
All are expandable with an expanded chassis for up to
32 analog inputs, 8 event inputs, and 32 control
outputs (or 16 status inputs and 32 control outputs). |
